    UKM Pencak Silat made another achievement by winning 3 gold medals and 1 silver medal along with the best fighter award at the 2023 Lombok Kemenpora Cup National Championship 1 Year 2023 which was held on Saturday 23 to Sunday 24 December, at GOR 17 December, Mataram City, West Nusa Tenggara . UKM Pencak Silat itself sent 2 athletes, namely, Andreyan Lintang Saputra, Guidance and Counseling Study Program, who won 2 gold medals and won the award for Best Fighter, and Rizky Febrian, Management Study Program, who won 1 gold medal and 1 silver medal.

    “We dedicate this victory to our younger siblings so that they will be more motivated and enthusiastic in training so that in the future they will be able to achieve even better achievements.” Said Lintang and Rizky.

    This achievement was also highlighted directly by the Chancellor of PGRI Yogyakarta University, Dr. Ir.     UPY Taekwondo UKM Successfully Won Gold in Airlangga Cup V 2023

    UKM Taekwondo UPY succeeded in making an achievement at the Airlangga Cup V Championship 2023. This activity was held on Saturday – Sunday, 02 – 03 December 2023 at the Multifuction Hall, Campus C, Airlangga University, Surabaya, East Java. In this championship, the Taekwondo Student Activity Unit of PGRI Yogyakarta University sent 6 athletes and brought home medals, namely, Kurniawan Hadi from the Guidance and Counseling Study Program (GOLD), Denis Puspita Dewi, Management Study Program (GOLD), Cindy Ayu Puspita Dewi, Education Study Program Pancasila and Citizenship (SILVER), Almadia Qosita Janah S, Guidance and Counseling Study Program (GOLD), Joanita Panca Sonya, Management Study Program (GOLD), and Mutiara Sabrina, Management Study Program (GOLD).

    “Obtaining a gold medal is a manifestation of the seriousness of the athletes to present their best achievements. Hard work and a long training process is one of the keys to success in achieving achievements in this championship,” said Kurniawan Hadi, after successfully presenting gold for UKM Taekwondo UPY.

    “The success of winning a gold medal can be an inspiration and encouragement for other athletes to continue to give their best achievements, bringing the good name of Universitas PGRI Yogyakarta,” added Kurniawan.

    Meanwhile, Deputy Chancellor 3 for Student Affairs, Cooperation and Alumni at PGRI Yogyakarta University, Dr. Septian Aji Permana, M.Pd, said that he really appreciated and thanked all the UKM Taekwondo UPY athletes who had fought hard and succeeded in winning 5 gold medals and 1 silver medal, thus making UPY’s name proud again on the national stage.

  • Working Deliberation of the Student Representative Council of Family Student University of PGRI Yogyakarta

    Working Deliberation is one of the DPM KM UPY work programs in 2021/2022. This activity was carried out on Monday, November 29, 2021. This work program is basically a communication activity from DPM KM with the Trustees of DPM KM UPY, UPY Alumni Student Agency, and Demisioner DPM KM UPY.

    This activity aims to synergize the steps of each DPM KM work program to match their respective domains, and improve the quality and quantity of cooperation between organizations, and provide information to all students of PGRI University Yogyakarta regarding the activities and activities of each organization at the University of PGRI Yogyakarta.

    This Working Deliberation was attended by all DPM KM UPY administrators, UPY KM DPM Trustees, UPY Alumni Student Alumni Institutions, and DPM KM UPY Demisioner. This activity took place in the Hall of the Ormawa Building at 13.00-17.00 WIB.

  • Historical Tourism Activities (History of the Diponegoro Struggle)

The Culture Office (Kundha Kabudayan) Bantul Regency held a historical visit with the theme of the history of the struggle of Prince Diponegoro. The activity carried out at the Selarong Cave was held on November 25, 2021 which began at 08.00-finished.

After arriving at the pavilion the participants registered and continued with the opening delivered by the Head of Guwosari and remarks by the Head of Office (Kundha Kabudayan) Bantul Regency.

    After the remarks were completed with the discussion and presentation of the material concerning the history of the Selarong cave and Prince Diponegoro with the resource person, Mr. Indra Fibiona who explained about Guosari: Witness is the biggest war in & nbsp; Java Island because of the large number of victims and losses caused by this war, discussing the role of Prince Diponegoro for Indonesian independence and raising the spirit of heroes of national independence.

  • KM UPY held a fundraising for residents affected by the eruption of Mount Semeru

    Right on Monday, December 6, 2021 Families of PGRI Yogyakarta University (KM UPY) Student Family Conduct “KM UPY Cares” activities as a form of concern for others for our brothers who were affected by the disaster around Semeru Mountain. The activity is in the form of open donations of blankets, masks, groceries, instant noodles, mineral water, toddler milk, baby/elderly diapers and money either through account transfer and fundraising directly.

    For the fundraising event, it was attended by all student organizations (Ormawa) in UPY under the assistance of the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Yogyakarta PGRI University Student Executive Board (BEM-KM UPY). This fundraising activity is carried out through 3 batch from morning to evening, the first batch is in the UPY campus area, the second batch and the third batch is carried out in the Alun Alun Kidul and at several points the red light intersection includes the UPY campus intersection, the savory intersection, the intersection abstinence, miniature intersection of the Aceh Grand Mosque, and other strategic places.

    Km UPY Care This is the first time that involves all the Ormawa in UPY. The funds collected to date have reached Rp. 16,074,300. The results of this fundraising will be distributed in the form of food, drugs, etc. Furthermore, the funds collected will be distributed through TCR Kelurahan Sabdodadi in the hope that this activity can relieve our brothers who are affected by the eruption of Mount Semeru.

  • Mandatory visiting the Wayang Beber Sekartajie Museum and Monggo Chocolate Museum

    undergoing adaptation of new habits (AKB) DIY Culture Office in collaboration with HMP History Education held Mandatory Museum (WKM) Mandatory activities on Wednesday, February 14, 2022 which was held at 08:10 . This time WKM participants are UPY students. For the gathering point the participants were in the Yogyakarta Culture Office. Initially participants were asked to fill in the registration, after conducting the registration participants were divided into 3 different buses. Which was then followed by a journey to the museum with the first destination, the Wayang Beber Sekartaji Musuem in GG Pancasila, Kanutan, Sumbermulyo, Kec Bambanglipuro, Bantul Regency.

    by complying with the health protocol applied by required to wear a mask, using a handanitizer and checked body temperature in this museum is also guided by the museum educator, in this beber puppet museum the participants gained a lot of knowledge just about the world of puppetry. The Beber Sekartaji Museum was established in October 2017, some of them have the meaning of which is used as a media. Wayang Beber is the ancestors of Wayang Kulit who experienced a lot of development in teaching goodness through puppet media. This museum also consists of 3 rooms namely the Senate Room, Palon Room and Word Room.

    The next destination is the Monggo Chocolate Museum located on Jalan Tugu Gentong, Sribitan, Bangunjiwo, Kec Kasihan, Bantul Regency by obeying the established ease protocol. Besides being able to visit the museum, participants were also invited to be able to see the process of making cocoa fruit into chocolate, the history of chocolate development and also invited to print chocolate itself as a result of production at the Monggo Chocolate Museum. Besides there is a museum in Chocolate Monggo, there are also chocolate shops and gelaties. And from the production of cocoa fruit in addition to producing chocolate can also produce cocoa powder which is made as an ingredient for the production of chocolate drinks.

    This activity certainly ends with a group photo session by WKM participants. WKM on this occasion is expected to add insight to UPY students about the history of puppets and history of chocolate. This WKM activity also aims to invite all groups of DIY people to actively visit the museum and channel funds to the DIY specialty so that they can return to be distributed to the people of Yogyakarta.

  • Strengthening solidarity through the activities of the new management of HMP History Education

    On Monday, December 27, 2021, in Garongan Tourism Village, Turi, Sleman, HMP History Education UPY held a new management training activity with the theme & LDQUO; Makraban Night (Makrab) & RDQUO ; Which was followed by HMP Hemators in Yogyakarta, historical education students, and several historical education alumni of PGRI University in Yogyakarta. This makrab activity was carried out for 2 days 1 night starting from Monday 27 December at 13:00 to Tuesday 28 December at 10:30.

    The event is started from Breafing and the committee’s preparation with the southern parking lot of Unit 1 campus at 13:00. And followed by participant registration and departure to Garongan Tourism Village, Turi, Sleman. The departure of makrab participants was carried out together using transportation in the form of motorbikes. When he arrived at Garongan Tourism Village, participants did an ishoma and preparation.

    On the first day the activity began at 16:30 which was opened by the MC and continued with the HMP Chairperson Nurul Ismi Lestari and the remarks along with sharing material from the Father Triwahana M. Pd. And the event continued with Ice Breaking, Ishoma, HMP Education and Training of History Education, film screenings and participants began to rest or sleep at 23:00. And the Makrab event on the second day began at 04:00 for Muslim participants was welcome to the Fajr Prayer first.     After all the series of events have been completed at 11:00 the participants preparation returned to their homes. So it can be concluded that the purpose of the HMP HMP History Education (Makrab) Training is to strengthen the sense of solidarity and familiarize themselves from fellow HMP Historical Education members and from friends of history study programs starting from the early semesters or from the upper semester.   • UTARI UPY Achieve Achievements in the National Arts and Sports Student Competition (Dance Branch)

    Utari UPY participated in the National Arts and Sports Student Competition (Komnas Senior) with a single traditional and paired dance category and the modern category of Solo and Duo Dance. This competition was held on December 25, 2021, which was held virtually by sending videos to the committee. This virtual competition is a solution where creativity and achievement can still be achieved even though it is still in the pandemic period.

    In this competition Utari UPY lowered 1 member (Yekti Asri Cahyaningrum) to participate in the Senior National Commission on the National Commission (Dance) in the modern category of Solo Dance. & LDQUO; Before participating in the competition, we underwent training for 2 weeks to prepare for abilities.   • Vlog Fila, UPY student who won second place in the Maguwo Criterium 2022 race

    Maguwo Criterium is a bicycle racing event organized by a collection of committees from various company sponsor support. Not only that, this event also received the attention of a college institution in Yogyakarta. Other sponsors such as Cycling Apparel Avelio, Wahoo, IGPSport, Pocari Sweat, Mou Gelato, Agoge Coffee, and Sweet Legit were also present to enliven the bazaar around the racing arena. This Maguwo Criterium bicycle racing is national standard and has received permission from the Indonesian Cycling Federation (ICF). Although it does not involve the local Tourism Office and the City Government, the Maguwo Criterium event can run well and smoothly according to the procedure. This race was attended by national athletes, pelatda, and other hobbies racers. The racing regulation consists of bicycle racing under 30 years old, over 30 years, wheel folding bikes under 20 (under 20), wheel folding bikes above 20 (upper20) and ancient bikes (penny-farthing)
