Vision
In 2043, Universitas PGRI Yogyakarta’s English Education Study Program becomes a superior study program in preparing prospective English teachers who are devoted, competent, professional, innovative, nationally committed, and have a global outlook in the fields of English education, translation, and edupreneur.
Mission
The mission of the English Education Study Program is to optimize the utilization of study program resources to:
- Organizing effective, efficient, democratic, transparent, accountable, autonomous, and competitive study program governance.
- Organizing quality education, so as to be able to produce prospective English teachers who are devoted, professional, innovative, nationally committed and have a global outlook.
- Carrying out research activities as a forum for increasing the competence of lecturers in contributing to the world of education and the development of science and technology;
- Conducting community service activities as an application of knowledge and expertise as a form of concern for the study program to the needs of stakeholders;
- Establishing cooperation with regional and international institutions as an effort to improve the quality of the academic community of the English Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas PGRI Yogyakarta.
Objective
The English Education Study Program aims to produce English Education graduates who:
- Have excellent study program governance that is effective, efficient, credible, transparent, accountable, responsible, and fair.
- Producing English Education graduates who have academic expertise in the field of English education and teaching supported by the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of an educator who is able to think logically, systematically, critically, and creatively; who is devout, professional, innovative, has a national commitment and has a global outlook.
- Having educators who are able to develop research and community service in contributing to the world of education and the development of science and technology.
- Having cooperation with regional and international institutions to support the development of education, research, and service in a sustainable manner.
