DISKUSI MENYAMBUT PERMENRISTEKDIKTI NO. 55 TAHUN 2018
Kementrian PSDM BEM KM UPY menyelenggarakan kegiatan Kajian Isu dengan tema “Menyambut PERMENRISTEKDIKTI NO. 55 Tahun 2018” di Auditorium Universitas PGRI Yogyakarta yang bertepatan pada tanggal 21 November 2018, berlangsung dari pukul 14:30-17:30 WIB.
Diskusi tersebut di selenggarakan untuk mengkaji PERMENRISTEKDIKTI NO. 55 Tahun 2018 tentang Pembinaan Idieologi Bangsa dalam kegiatan kemahasiswaan di lingkungan kampus melalui UKM PIB, yang Sekaligus melegalkan kembali organisasi ekstra masuk dalam kehidupan kampus, permenristekdikti ini di keluarkan pada tanggal 28 Oktober 2018 bertepatan dengan hari sumpah pemuda yang ke-90 oleh Menteri Riset, Teknologi, dan Pendidikan Tinggi Republik Indonesia (bapak Muhamad Nasir)
Kegiatan itu terbuka untuk umum, di hadiri oleh beberapa mahasiswa delegasi dari berbagai organisasi Intra kampus dan mahasiswa umum Universitas PGRI Yogyakarta, juga menghadirkan tiga orang Pemateri yakni Dr Muhamad Ikbal Birsyada M.Pd, Rasyid ripamole, Muhamad Fairuzzabadi M.Kom.
Diskusi yang dipandu oleh saudara taufik hidayat tersebut diawali dari pemateri yang mengupas permenristekdikti tersebut dari berbagai sudut pandang (sejarah, hukum, hingga kemahasiswaan) kemudian di berikan waktu kepada masing-masing delegasi dari berbagai organisasi intra kmpus untuk menyampaikan pendapatnya, hingga sesi terakhir tanya jawab dari semua audiens yang hadir.
Diskusi yang cukup alot itupun sangat menarik karena berbagai pendapat di tuangkan dalam forum tersebut, yang mengupas sangat dalam terkait dampak positif maupun negative dari terbitnya permenristekdikti tersebut, baik terhadap organisasi intra, organisasi ekstra kampus itu sendiri, mahasiswa, Perguruan tinggi, hingga terhadap penguatan ideology bangsa (ideology pancasila). dari Wakil Rektor III bidang kemahasiswaan sendiri (Muhamad fairuzzabadi, M.Kom) menyampaikan akan meleksanakan rapat internal di tataran rektorat juga menunggu surat edaran lanjutan Menrestekdikti terkait PERMENRSITEKDIKTI NO. 55 tahun 2018 tersebut untuk kemudian di tindaklanjuti.

Pencak Silat UPY Sabet Medali Emas
Pekan Olahraga Mahasiswa tingkat Daerah (POMDA) DIY, Cabang Olahraga Pencak Silat, diselenggarakan oleh BAPOMI DIY, bertempat di Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Yogyakarta (UPNYK).

Yogyakarta, 1-2 Desember 2018, UKM Pencak Silat Universitas PGRI Yogyakarta (UPY) baru saja berlaga dalam Kompetisi POMDA Cabor Pencak Silat DIY. Kompetisi ini diikuti oleh ratusan Mahasiswa/i yang mewakili Perguruan Tinggi yang ada di DIY. Terdata, ada 19 PTN/PTS yang unjuk aksi dalam kompetisi ini. Sangat semarak dan meriah tentunya. Pertandingan pencak silat yang berlokasi di UPN Veteran Yogyakarta ini menyajikan berbagai kategori, dari Kategori Tanding Putra kelas A-F, Kategori Tanding Putri kelas A-F, Kategori Seni Tunggal, dan Kategori Seni Ganda.
Berkat kegigihan yang luar biasa, Alhamdulillah, Team Pencak Silat Universtas PGRI Yogyakarta berhasil membawa pulang 4 mendali dengan rincian 1 Medali Emas, 1 Medali Perak, dan 2 Medali Perunggu. Dari yang paling kiri, atas nama Panggah Santoso (TI) peraih medali perunggu kelas B Putra, Riyani (Manajemen) peraih medali perunggu kelas A Putri, Shofia Novianti (TI) medali emas kelas B Putri, dan Bachtiar Ar-rosyad (PGSD) medali perak kelas C Putra.
Nuryantono, selaku Manajer Team Pencak Silat UPY mengucapkan selamat kepada para pemenang, serta terimakasih yang amat sangat kepada Pembina, Pelatih, Atlet, Official, dan semua pihak yang selalu memberikan support kepada Team Pencak Silat UPY. “Pelaksanaan POMDA Cabor Pencak Silat ini tidak semata-mata hanya mengejar kemenangan. Namun yang paling penting adalah kita bisa memandang pertandingan ini sebagai ajang melestarikan budaya bangsa, persahabatan, silaturami antar peserta, supporter, dan juga panitia,” ujar Yantono saat ditemui dilokasi pertandingan.
Setelah 2 hari pertandingan berjalan dengan lancar, pertandingan selesai. Penutupan serta pembagian hadiah dilangsungkan pada Minggu sore. Gemuruh kemenangan pun semakin jelas terasa saat berlangsungnya penyerahan medali dan piala kepada para juara oleh pihak Bapomi dan UPN selaku penyelenggara.
