  • University of Yogyakarta PGRI and Tashkent State University of Economics Uzbekistan Hold Inisation of Virtual Cooperation

    This collaborative event was held via Zoom Meeting on June 2022. In this event the Human Resource Management Department, PhD, Assoc.Prof. Goyipnazarov Sanjar Baxodirovich and Dr. Azizah who represented Tsue. While from UPY was attended by the Head of UPY KUI Dr. Victor Novianto, Rifki Irawan, M.Pd, Arista Natia Afriany, S.E., M.B.A. and Bryan Ramadan, S.Pd.

    This meeting meeting between UPY and TSUE was held in order to introduce each university and also the initial steps of the expected cooperation to be sustainable in the future. From UPY, Mr. Rifki introduced UPY in a geographical location in Yogyakarta which is a student city and a cultural city. While Dr. Sanjar from Tsue introduced the superiority of the campus which is one of the best campuses in Uzbekistan precisely in the Capital of Tashkent.

    This collaboration is carried out to expand the network of cooperation for each university to start setting foot on the international arena which is a necessity for each university to participate in globalization. Tashkent University had previously been in collaboration with the Universiti Technology of Mara Malaysia which had also been working with UPY before. Tashkent University plans to continue to expand its connection in countries around Indonesia. Whereas from UPY also plans to continue to expand the network of connecting between campuses and universities in Uzbekistan and surrounding countries because the majority of these countries have a Muslim population so that there are compatibility of religious and cultural backgrounds.

    in the event of this cooperation initiation meeting Dr. Goyip offers activities that make it possible to be realized later such as Science Paper, Staff Exchange, Reviewer & Amp; Evaluation, Collab Learning, Join Research. Ms. Arista explained about some journals owned by UPY which could later be a means to carry out cooperation activities. In essence, each party is open to each other for the activities offered, to be more in-depth related to cooperation activities will be discussed at the next meeting. (PEB)

  • Virtual Ceremony Event Signing MoU between Yogyakarta PGRI University and Sukkur Iba University, Pakistan

    In order to establish relations with foreign universities, PGRI Yogykarta University conducted a virtual signing of the MoU via Zoom Meeting between PGRI University Yogyakarta and Sukkur Iba University-Pakistan. The event was attended by representatives from each campus. The UPY was attended by Deputy Chancellor for Division III Dr. Septian Aji Permana, M.Pd, Head of KUI Dr. Victor Novianto, M.Hum, Rifki Irawan, M.Pd (Domestic Cooperation Head), Dr. Esti Setiawati, M.Pd (Dean of FKIP UPY), Eko Perianto, M.Pd (Deputy Dean of LLL FKIP UPY) and Arista Natia Afriany, S.E., M.B.A. (Deputy Dean of LLL Faculty of Business UPY). While from Sukkur Iba University was attended by Prof. Dr. Syed Mir Muhammad Shah, and Prof. Dr. Altaf Hussain Samo with staff who helped carry out this event.

    PGRI University Yogyakarta and Sukkur Iba University-Pakistan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate in the field of academy and research with a focus on the exchange of staff with the aim of offering and realizing the Research Project; and promoting student exchange from both universities. The MoU was signed virtually by representatives from Sukkur Iba University and Yogyakarta PGRI University on May 20, 2022. Both parties exchanged views on improving the quality of Research Project and their integration with the industrial world. Prof. Dr. Syed Mir Muhammad Shah, as the Chancellor of Sukkur Iba University-Pakistan signed an MoU as a representative of Sukkur Iba University.

    both parties exchange information about the faculties and study programs to make it easier to realize cooperation activities between study programs. In essence, both parties are open to what activities will be carried out, related to the details and technical implementation of the activity will be discussed at the next meeting or communication directly between the University Study Program. It is hoped that this year the cooperation activities can be realized and the achievement of good relations between countries and universities, especially in the field of education.

  • UPY Student Champion I at the Bromo Kom Challenge 2022 International Event

    Bromo Kom Challenge 2022 event, a prestigious bicycle racing event held every year, stopped by in Pasuruan City, Saturday, May 21, 2022). The last Bromo Kom Challenge held on March 14, 2020 was the last mass start event before Pandemi. More than 1,500 participants traveled 100 km from Surabaya to Wonokitri, climbing nearly 2,000 meters.

  • PGRI University Yogyakarta (UPY) contingent won various achievements at the Porsenasma IV Kediri event

    Yogyakarta PGRI University (UPY) gave rewards to great students who had won medals in the Porsenasma IV (Student Sports and Art Week) IV which was held in Kediri.

    This event was held on 7 & Ndash; June 11, 2022, in the event UPY students got 10 medals. Student Agency and Alumni Institute of Yogyakarta PGRI University Drs. John Sabari, M.Sc. As the Chairperson of the UPY Contingent Porsenasma Committee said, in this event UPY sent 59 students from various branches of the competition.

    After going through the struggle in this competition, students won champions in various competitions which include:

  • Supporting the development of digital technology, the spirit of defending the country must remain put forward

    Social media users in Indonesia currently reach 191 million people, an increase from last year which reached 170 million people. This figure is very large, moreover there are only 7 countries in the world that have residents over 191 million, namely China, India, America, Indonesia, Pakistan, Brazil, and Nigeria.

    As said by a member of the Indonesian Regional Representative Council (DPD) DIY Gusti Kanjeng Ratu Hemas in the Pancasila/Angkringan National Angkringan Socialization at the Yogyakarta PGRI University Auditorium (UPY), Saturday (16/4 /2022). The activity was packed with an angkringan dialogue while lifting the local wisdom of Jogja which is famous for its angkringan. This angkringan dialogue package can melt the atmosphere so as not to be saturated.

    According to Hemas, social media greatly influences the minds of the younger generation. & ldquo; we must be careful so that our national politics is not damaged, because of the easy people to use social media and spread information. We must continue to put the spirit of the country, in line with the spirit of tolerance, anti -violence, harmony, and local wisdom that we already have. We must prioritize this spirit in using digital technology and social media, & RDQUO; he said.

    UPY students are invited to be clear in addressing the existing conditions so as not to be easily provoked. Hemas also advised that in using social media, a negative impact that can be caused.

    In addition, Hemas also advised the younger generation, especially students to always move in positive things. Lots of sports and art activities that can be followed. Even now coupled with e-sports whose competition has been held everywhere, and there are also competition at the international level.

    as a senator and as the mother of the people of Yogyakarta, GKR Hemas continues to support various positive activities. The development of digital technology does direct the community to move there. E-sports, tiktok, digital finance, and social media with video platforms cannot be avoided.

  • Prepare face -to -face lectures, upy held a booster vaccination

    In order to prepare face-to-face lectures, as well as guarantee the health of students when lectures, PGRI University Yogyakarta (UPY) again carried out its 3rd vaccination on Thursday (03/31/2022) In the UPY Auditorium starting at 08.00 WIB. In addition to UPY students, lecturers, employees and families, this vaccination activity is opened to the public, especially the community around the PGRI Yogyakarta University campus.

    Upy in collaboration with Puskesmas Kasihan II to hold the booster vaccination by providing 1000 doses of modern type vaccine.

    Chairman of the Covid-19 Task Force UPY, Dr. Sigit Handoko, M.H. Said that for the three -stage phase of vaccination this time, there have been prepared as many as a thousand vaccines that will be injected into students and the UPY academic community and the general public.

    & ldquo; we do this booster vaccine to prepare face-to-face lectures even though Uoy will still carry out the process of adaptation to the new normal life patterns (new normal) in lectures, & rdquo; said Sigit Handoko.

  • The younger generation needs to study the State Constitution

    Today, the younger generation is not only required to be literate in the development of the times but also needs to understand the state constitution. A number of students of the Pancasila Education Study Program and Citizenship Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at the University of PGRI Yogyakarta are invited to understand the state constitution directly from their experts.

    Constitutional Judge Enny Nurbaningsih and Constitutional Justice Suhartoyo talked about pluralism in Indonesia to be the most important part of developing the country. Where there are oaths of adhesive elements namely Pancasila, Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, and the 1945 Constitution.
