    Social media users in Indonesia currently reach 191 million people, an increase from last year which reached 170 million people.     As said by a member of the Indonesian Regional Representative Council (DPD) DIY Gusti Kanjeng Ratu Hemas in the Pancasila/Angkringan National Angkringan Socialization at the Yogyakarta PGRI University Auditorium (UPY), Saturday (16/4 /2022).     UPY students are invited to be clear in addressing the existing conditions so as not to be easily provoked. Hemas also advised that in using social media, a negative impact that can be caused.

    & ldquo; we must be very thorough in seeing hoaxes, which can now be made with video edits or image edits simply. We better share positive content, or educational content, not provocation content that can ignite public anger, & rdquo; he said.

    In addition, Hemas also advised the younger generation, especially students to always move in positive things. Lots of sports and art activities that can be followed. Even now coupled with e-sports whose competition has been held everywhere, and there are also competition at the international level.

    as a senator and as the mother of the people of Yogyakarta, GKR Hemas continues to support various positive activities. The development of digital technology does direct the community to move there. E-sports, tiktok, digital finance, and social media with video platforms cannot be avoided.

  • Prepare face -to -face lectures, upy held a booster vaccination

    In order to prepare face-to-face lectures, as well as guarantee the health of students when lectures, PGRI University Yogyakarta (UPY) again carried out its 3rd vaccination on Thursday (03/31/2022) In the UPY Auditorium starting at 08.00 WIB. In addition to UPY students, lecturers, employees and families, this vaccination activity is opened to the public, especially the community around the PGRI Yogyakarta University campus.

    Upy in collaboration with Puskesmas Kasihan II to hold the booster vaccination by providing 1000 doses of modern type vaccine.

    Chairman of the Covid-19 Task Force UPY, Dr. Sigit Handoko, M.H. Said that for the three -stage phase of vaccination this time, there have been prepared as many as a thousand vaccines that will be injected into students and the UPY academic community and the general public.

    Today, the younger generation is not only required to be literate in the development of the times but also needs to understand the state constitution. A number of students of the Pancasila Education Study Program and Citizenship Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at the University of PGRI Yogyakarta are invited to understand the state constitution directly from their experts.

  • UPY Research Team Launches Environmentally Friendly IoT Plants

    Researcher Team from PGRI University Yogyakarta (UPY), chaired by Dr. Okti Puwaningsih MP with Saptaningsih Sumarmi MM MM members, Nonsiy Nonsi Try to develop environmentally friendly agriculture through the cultivation of IoT-based horticultural crops ( Internet of Things) for family economic resilience in Sawahan Hamlet, Pendowoharjo Village, Sleman Regency.     the researcher team that also involved 5 students from 3 study programs namely Aprilia Tita Wahyuningsih, Kumala Dewi Retno Astuti, Muhammad Abdilah, Nur Azizah Aprilia and Hani Andrasari were held by funded by funding innovative research funding Productive (RISPRO) Education Fund Management Institution (LPDP).

    The development of environmentally friendly agriculture through the cultivation of IoT-based horticultural crops is carried out because of the demands of a healthy lifestyle through food nutrition and is an important need for the community. These needs are often met through environmentally friendly vegetable products, because they do not use chemicals in producing them.

    According to Dr. Okti Puwaningsih MP, on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, a trial of planting horticultural crops with digitalization of watering with IoT. Pandemi Covid-19 gave rise to an idea for researchers to try to make plants watering and fertilization applications through cellular telephone media.

    Through this technology it is expected to reduce the mobility of farmers to go down to the land, so that it is obedient to the physical dissection policy. For marketing media is done online by utilizing social media and obtained a very good response from the public. This is proven by the absorption of the harvest very fast.

    Another positive side of this activity is the formation of the management of the Manunggal Women’s Farmers Group (KWT) in Sawahan Hamlet and the proceeds from the sale of crop products, become KWT cash deposits.
