  • Yogyakarta PGRI University is ready to support the acceleration of development in Gunungkidul Regency

    Following up on the audience of the Yogyakarta PGRI University and Rector Pembina Foundation which was conducted last week Monday, April 5, 2021 in the Gunungkidul Regent’s Office. On this Wednesday, April 14, 2021 Gunungkidul Regent H. Sunaryanta along with the Regional Secretary and OPD (Regional Apparatus Organization) of Gunungkidul Regency conducted an official visit to the Yogyakarta PGRI University campus on Jln. PGRI I SONOSEWU No. 117 For the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Gunungkidul Regency Government and Yogyakarta PGRI University.

    In the occasion of the Gunungkidul Regent’s Office visit, Rector of Yogyakarta PGRI University Dr. Ir. Paiman, MP expressed his congratulations on the inauguration of H. Sunaryanta and Heri Susanto. S.Kom, M.Sc as Regent and Deputy Regent of Gunungkidul for the period 2021-2024. The entire UPY extended family is very appreciative and proud of the direct visit of the Regent at the PGRI Yogyakarta University campus, UPY Rector delivered an offer to participate in the Gunungkidul Regency development acceleration program which was programmed by the Regent, especially those related to the Tridharma of Higher Education, several programs proposed The formation of the Fostered Village of Yogyakarta PGRI University for Disadvantaged Villages in Gunungkidul and the Opening of Cooperation Classes to Improve Human Resources of Gunungkidul Regency Government Employees.

    The Chancellor in the activity also explained the development of the University of PGRI Yogyakarta where UPY had been established since 1962 which was previously named IKIP PGRI Yogyakarta, then changed to a university in 1997. During the trip, PGRI University Yogyakarta has experienced a significant increase, even now UPY has been ranked 6th in the National PGRI College in Indonesia and has obtained institutional accreditation category B from the National Accreditation Board. UPY currently has 22 study programs consisting of; The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education There are 10 Study Programs, Faculty of Science and Technology consisting of 7 Study Programs, Faculty of Agriculture There are 2 Study Programs, Faculty of Business There are 2 Study Programs, as well as Postgraduate 1 Study Program.

    in order to increase competitiveness during 2018 until 2020 UPY has succeeded in obtaining a opening permit for 10 new study programs, including PG-PAUD Study Program, PLB Study Program, Industrial Engineering Study Program, Pharmacy Study Program, Nutrition Study Program, Biomedical Study Program, Electromedical Study Program, Architecture Study Program, THP Study Program and Automotive Vocational Study Program, and currently we are applying for S2 Basic Education Study Program, S1 Sports and S1 Digital Business, in addition to that for the long term we are also preparing to be able to open up to be able to open Faculty of Medicine.

    Regent of Gunungkidul H. Sunaryanta along with the Gunungkidul Regency OPD ranks greatly appreciated the offer of the cooperation delivered by the Rector of UPY and the Chairperson of the Yogyakarta PGRI University Pembina Foundation, considering that the potential possessed by Gunungkidul was very large, only alone has not been explored optimally, the Regent has a focus to be able to increase human resources as well as the tourism sector in Gunungkidul so as to improve the economy and welfare of the community. Through this activity the Regent hopes to get support from all parties, especially the universities as did UPY.

  • Jamboree and Outing General attack March 1, 1949 of 2021

    in commemoration of the general attack on March 1, 1949 as well as socialization to support the proposal on March 1 was designated as a national holiday of the Yogyakarta PGRI University History Study Program students also participated in the historical and outing jamboree . This activity was held by the Yogyakarta Special Region Culture Office on March 27-28, 2021 at the Prime Hotel Plaza Yogyakarta which was attended by Drs I Gede Adi Atmaja as the Head of the Yogyakarta Culture History Section. The event was held in two methods, namely online and luring. The online event itself was held via zoom intended for the community and historical activists outside of Yogyakarta and luring while still obeying & nbsp; health protocol. The Jamboree and Outing were attended by all communities and historical activists throughout Indonesia with the name of the National Sovereignty Enforcement Day. The History Education Bachelor Program was represented by Devi Melani, a student of the 6th Semester History Education Study Program and Nurul Ismi Lestari, Student of History Education Study Program Semester 4.

    The first day of March 27, 2020 was held with the agenda of activities in the form of seminars and panel discussions which were divided into five sessions. The first session raised the theme of the role of the public kitchen on the general attack on March 1. The second session raised the theme of Indonesian diplomacy after the general attack on March 1, 1949. The third session raised the theme Dr. Sardjito as Military Aggression II in Yogyakarta. The fourth session raised the theme of Yogyakarta after March 1 and the fifth session raised the theme of the struggle fund in the 1945-1950 Indonesian revolution. The second day on March 28, 2020 was held in the form of outing.

    On this occasion the outing was held in Srowolan Tourism Village, Purwobinangun, Pakem District, Sleman Regency. In the village of Srowolan became a silent witness to the struggle of the Indonesian people in upholding Indonesia’s sovereignty which was considered to have existed and the forerunner to the formation of Pakem District. In this srowolan village we can find the Srowolan struggle market which used to be the headquarters of the Student Army to develop a strategy against the Dutch which is no longer functioning. This activity is expected to be a reminder of us so that we never forget the small events that contribute the success of major events and be a reminder of us about the persistence of the heroes of our predecessors in maintaining Indonesian sovereignty.

    G-Counk or Guidance and Counseling Countest is a competition organized by the Student Association of Guidance and Counselor Study Program (HMP BK) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education University of PGRI Yogyakarta. On Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at the Multimedia Laboratory (5th Floor Studio), Unit 1 PGRI University Yogyakarta. With a general theme & LDQUO; forming a paradigm of productive counselors in the era of hybrid working & rdquo;. It is expected that prospective counselors remain productive in Pandemi with flexible without limited space and time. This G-Countest is the 3rd time organized by HMP BK in a national scale, specifically for guidance and counseling students throughout Indonesia, with three branches of the race, namely: & NBSP; Scientific Orasi Guidance and Counseling, Education Video, and Poster. This G-Countest event is a journalistic division work program and the chairman of the implementation of the member representatives, Arbiansyah Pramudya Ahzami.

    Announcement of the winner of G-Countest #3 on March 30, 2021 via Zoom Meeting and Live Streaming on UPYTV Youtube. The announcement of this winner was the peak of the G-Countest event where all participants from various universities joined the Zoom Meeting to find out who the winners of the three branches of the competition were.

    The G-Countest event was attended directly by Mr. Eko Perianto, M.Si as the Head of BK and Mr. Darsono, M.Pd as the Dean of FKIP who also opened the G-Countest #3 2021 event The event was also enlivened by UKM Music Jreng Upty and of course guided by sister Aprilia Waningrum as formal MC, Reza Septianto and Gigih Padantya as Non Formal MC. And Category of Education Video Contest , 1st place won by Sinta Aura Rokhmatillah (Team Leader) and Dinda Putri Abadi (Member) from Malang State University, while the 2nd place was won by Nur Khotimatul Ulya (Team Leader) and Moh Iqbal Maulana (Member) from PGRI University Semarang.

    G-Countest #3 is a success of the event and seen from the conclusion of the suggestion box that the committee has made for the participants many who expect that G-Countest #4 can be held. Hopefully this competition is used as a place for friendship between agencies and is used as a forum to pour the talent of prospective counselors who must remain productive and work in this Pandemic.     The 5th Accounting Dance Competition activity was attended by Dean of Bachelor of Accounting Program Ratna Purnama Sari, M. Si and Chair of the Bachelor of Accounting Program Yennisa, M. SC., Ak., Ca. ., CTA. In addition, there were also a number of external judges, Retno Setyo Murti as a traditional dance dance jury, Risko Ardian Saputro as a modern dance dance jury and Devy Sari Purniawanti, ST., MBA.

  • UPY carried out the withdrawal of KKN for the 35th generation

    The PGRI Yogyakarta University Real Work Lecture (KKN) withdrawal ceremony for 2021 35th generation was held & nbsp; by the Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) UPY online, Monday (1/3/2021).   • UPY TAEKWONDO TEAM won 6 medals in USD Cup 2021 Tae Kwon Do Championship

    Pandemi Covid-19 that has hit Indonesia since 2020, is a barrier for activities in the field of sports, especially the taekwondo martial arts branch.

    However, this does not dampen the enthusiasm of the athletes from UKM Taekwondo Upy to continue to fight in achieving achievements in the championship event.

    On February 21, 2021, several athletes from UKM Taekwondo won the title and again made the name upy in the Taekwondo Regional Championship “USD Cup 2021 Tae Kwon Do Championship”.

    The championship is a regional level Pomsae championship organized by UKM Taekwondo Sanata Dharma University, which is held virtually using online media.

    around 118 athletes who competed, 6 of them from UKM Taekwondo UPY also participated.

    In the championship event, UKM Taekwondo UPY won 2 gold medals, 1 silver medal, and 3 bronze medals.

    The gold medal has been achieved by Safarin and Intan Nur Cahyani from the Bachelor of Management Program. The silver medal was won by Luvy Fitria from the Guidance and Counseling Bachelor Program. Then the bronze medal was won by Dian Puji Rahayu from the Bachelor of Accounting Program, Anggit Dyan Syah Putra from the Informatics Engineering Bachelor Program, and Kurniawan Hadi from the Guidance and Counseling Bachelor Program.

    UKM Taekwondo UPY thanked the organizing committee of the Taekwondo Regional Championship “USD Cup 2021 Tae Kwon Do Championship”. Hopefully in the future there will be a championship that can bring up superior seeds, especially athletes from taekwondo sports. Then thank you to the University of PGRI Yogyakarta who have supported and helped athletes from UKM Taekwondo to be able to participate in the championship. Do not forget to thank coach who has trained optimally so that athletes can achieve achievements in each championship.

    Hopefully UPY Taekwondo UKM will continue to advance, keep the spirit in training, and can re-bring the name of the university both in the national and international arena.

  • Community empowerment in the pandemic period à ¢ € €

    In order to carry out the 35th KKN (Real Work Lecture). Yogyakarta PGRI University through the Community Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) conducted the 35th Batch of UPY KKN Selling activities. The activity was carried out on Monday, January 25, 2021 via online via zoom.

    This year’s KKN is different from previous years because all activities and implementation are carried out online or online because they are still in the Covid-19 pandemic period. For the location of KKN itself, students are released to vote, but prioritized according to the domicile of each student.

    Yogyakarta PGRI University implements KKN using online/online models. The number of KKN participants is 900 students with details of 895 students where 39 KKN Mandiri students and 856 KKN students in the independent group. The implementation of KKN itself was carried out for 5 weeks (January 25 March 1, 2021).     For the second time in 2020, Yogyakarta PGRI University (UPY) again carried out a graduation procession for Bachelor’s graduation at the Central Campus of Unit 1, Sonosewu, Yogyakarta, Saturday (12/19/2020) . In the process, the graduation ceremony of the 2020/2021 Academic Year was held using the method & nbsp; & ldquo; drive thru & rdquo; & nbsp; Considering the still ongoing Pandemi Covid-19 that hit the world, including in Indonesia. The graduation was attended by 356 graduates of graduates and broadcast live streaming on UPYTV Youtube.

    In his remarks, UPY Rector Dr. Paiman, MP advised all graduates of graduates, that graduation is not the ultimate goal of a learning, on the contrary graduation is the beginning of the learning process in the community.
