  • UPY Topy Theater: Looking for Drupadi in Kartini’s womb

women are always underestimated. Seen as weak and often become a creature without power. However, apart from that all women are a figure identified by softness. Women are accustomed to including feelings in everything. Therefore, they cry more often not because of weakness, but because they have pretended to smile even though their hearts are weak. Yes, there are too many sentences to describe a person & ldquo; women & rdquo;.

In connection with this, theater Topy held a monologue staging which in the event was women was appointed as the theme, as well as coinciding after commemorating Kartini Day. The monologue performance was held on Thursday (25/4) which took place on the campus page 1 of Yogyakarta PGRI University with the title & LDQUO; Three Women’s Monologue Necklaces & Ndash; Looking for Drupadi in the womb of Kartini & Rdquo;.

In this performance there is also something interesting and different because in this stage all players or cast are taken from the female group. Starting from the director to the actor. Whereas the performance was directed by Annisa Na. The cast in the performance included Alya Safira S (UPY PBSI Study Program Student) as Lasti, Rosita Uswatun KP (Accounting Study Program Student) as Astuti, and Krisia Monika Rani (Study Program Student Management as Lastri. While the scriptwriter they played was written on By WN Naufal, Isryad Nadjib and Yuli Ratnasari.

The performance tells the family of Lastri who has a daughter named Lasti, then Astuti himself is the son of Lasti. Astuti is an old teenage woman who is always living in shortcomings, even about food. Until finally did not know what to do to meet his life until one day was willing to sell his pride at the age of children and must feel the bitterness of life with the despicable work.

This story is certainly very inspiring, especially for women. Being a valuable lesson, that in fact they are too expensive just to be compared to food prices. Messages for women today who live are already all -round, keep yourself, a precious woman will not make her sink into the glitter of life. Give your biggest treasure only to your husband, not your girlfriend. And become a wise woman who is smart in everything.

  • Strengthen education, advance culture by realizing competitive, innovative, and character human resources

Thursday, 2/5 to coincide with National Education Day or National Education Day is a national day that is not a holiday set by the Indonesian government to commemorate the birth of Ki Hajar Dewantara, namely the Pioneer of Education in Indonesia and the founder of the Taman Siswa Education Institute, commemorated on May 2 each year.

In commemoration of the 2019 National Education Day (Hardiknas), Yogyakarta PGRI University held a joint ceremony that was attended by all UPY lecturers and employees and students from PGRI 1 Poor Middle School on Thursday (02/02/ 05/2019) by taking place on the front page of the UPY Unit 1 Campus Auditorium. The ceremony device itself comes from the Student Regiment or Menwa Upty, while the ceremonial coach is Dr. Ir. Paiman, M.P. UPY Rector.

Hardiknas 2019 is the right moment to remind everyone of the importance of education. Not only formal education pathways such as in schools or tertiary institutions, but also non-formal and informal, all of which must complement each other to educate the lives of people in the nation and state. Of course the hope for all children to be able to criticize proper education.

Entering the fourth industrial revolution, the education system must prepare superior humans who are ready to face the changing times. The rapid development of technology, is predicted to affect human civilization in the future. Disructive phenomena will enter all fields, including education. Education must immediately evolve to answer the challenges of the era.

In connection with this, UPY continues to improve quality both in terms of HR and development to support a better learning process facility for the future. In addition, the increase was also seen from the accreditation of study programs whose results were increasing from before. Capacity building is characterized by the opening of new study programs, namely pharmacy and industrial engineering. While for industrial engineering starting this year, it has begun to open for registration. However, all of these improvements will have no meaning without being accompanied by character education. Because the character occupies the highest position for all ages, especially the digital age like today. In order to answer the challenges of changing times in various fields, especially education, of course it needs cooperation between educational institutions, the government and industry. Happy National Education Day!

Even now it can be used in optimizing existing technology. For example in the use of big data in doing predictions or as data analysts about what will happen to an issue, object, trend or other in the future with the information that is already owned. The role of data and digital for the future is indeed important in the era of this modern age industry.
