Ahmad Agung Yuwono Putro, M.Pd. Pass the doctoral promotion exam in the Education Science Study Program at Yogyakarta State University (UNY). Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Plus Baiquniyyah (MIPB), in Wonokromo, Pleret, Bantul, has a unique strategy and method in carrying out its education, namely integrating Madrasah Ibtidaiyah or formal education at the elementary level with pesantren education. & ldquo; integrating with formal schools is a strategy to face the times so that the existence of boarding schools is not dim and inferior to modern schools, & rdquo, he said.

According to Ahmad, Kiai as a caregiver and institution leader has a central role in the implementation of the strategy. The charisma of a kyai and emotional spiritual approach taken to santri or students is the main aspect of MIPB’s success in creating humanist religious education.

Ahmad said, the contents of education imposed three curriculum, namely the formal curriculum from the National Education Primary School curriculum in general, the diniyah curriculum, namely the addition of the Aqeedah Fiqh Morals and the history of Islamic leadership from the Ministry of Religion and Curriculum Islamic boarding schools designed by the pesantren themselves in the form of memorization of the Koran, the five-time prayers in congregation, wrong Dhuha, learning of the book, and the development of talents and interests that are packaged in the activities of Saturday Ceria & LDQUO; pesantren as the oldest educational institution in Indonesia, in order to survive and be able to survive and capable Competing with time, must make innovation one of them by integrating with formal education. It is hoped that parents of students will no longer hesitate to choose education in pesantren-based schools. & Rdquo; he said.
