    Thursday, August 8, 2019 at the PGRI Yogyakarta University Auditorium, the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program Association held a Workshop with the theme & LDQUO; Ethnographic Creative Writing & RDQO; With the speaker Dr. Sigit Prawoto, M.Hum. The event was opened by Deputy Rector 3, Muhammad Fariuzabadi, M.Kom. Then the welcoming of the PBSI Head of Study Program, Primasari Wahyuni, M.Pd. And also present the Dean of FKIP UPY, Darsono, M.Pd, and attended by all PBSI UPY lecturers. The event was attended by UPY PBSI students, especially required for 6 semester students who were expected to become provisions for writing thesis or student research.

    Sigit Prawoto, M.Hum explained how ethnographic techniques by observing the culture of society by involving themselves directly in the community within a certain time, and presenting how to write ethnographically. Ethnographic writing can be done with steps that include; First, what preparation we know about the culture being learned. & nbsp; Second, the introduction made a statement of willingness to be involved in our project to be a resource. Third, field notes/interview notes, transcriptions by recording visits we do at that place, record interviews with participation, and transfer the results of the interview.     Extraordinary Education Study Program (PLB) and Early Childhood Teacher Education (PG-PAUD) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education UPY for the first time holding 1st EFA 2019 National Seminar and Call for Papers (22/7) with headlines & LDQUO; Strengthening inclusive education in PAUD, Family and School & RDQUO services; at SLB N 1 Bantul.   • Sea -Teacher 8th UPY – Open Ceremony of Overseas Students

    last Monday (5/8), 5 students from abroad who took part in the Upy 8th Batch Seateacher Program (Preserver Student Teacher Exchange Program in Southeast Asia) had arrived at the University of PGRI Yogyakarta. The five students are Mary Grace A.aladano, Princess Camille C.Asma, Benjamin Jose V.REY III from De Naga University University, Philippines. Then the other two came from Thailand, namely the juice of his departure and Walee Kaewjaima from Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, Thailand.

    The event was welcomed by the Rector of UPY and his staff as well as to conduct open ceremony and campus introduction in units 1 and unit 2. On that occasion the five students also visited the historical lab in Unit 1 . & LDQUO; I enjoyed and were very happy to be in Indonesia with its friendly and smiles. I am proud to be given the opportunity to be in UPY with his comfortable environment and hospitality. & Rdquo; said Benjamin, one of the students who took part in the Seateacher program from Ateneo de Naga University, Philippines.   • 8 new study programs meet the needs of the community

    Yogyakarta PGRI University (UPY) responds to the dynamics of society and the needs of the world of work. & ldquo; there are many proposals and input so that upy opens a new study program. The input was examined, considered, prepared everything which was then submitted to the Ministry of Research and Technology, a few years ago and went down the decree, & RDQUO; Dr. Ir. Paiman, M.P, Rector of Upy.

    Paiman explained, from a number of people’s desires and stakeholders, upy submitted to Kemenristek Dikti, there were 8 new study programs that had dropped the decree. The eight new study programs are Industrial Engineering, Pharmacy, Architecture, Agricultural Product Technology, Vocational Education Automotive Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Nutrition, Electromedical Engineering Engineering. Paiman mentioned, for the Decree of two new study programs namely Nutrition Science Study Program and Electromedical Engineering was handed over by Prof. Didi Achjari SE MCOM AK CA as Head of LLDIKTI Region V Yogyakarta on Friday (7/19).

    From 8 new study programs are very prospective, graduates will be absorbed by the world of work. Paiman gave an example, Agricultural Product Technology Study Program (THP). The study program has been planned and underwent the process of submitting establishment since January 2019. This plan is based on the dream of making THP collaborating and synergizing with the Faculty of Agriculture UPY in developing agricultural products, especially local agricultural products.

    & ldquo; THP study program graduates can also be entrepreneurs/entrepreneurs, Practitioners of Supervisor Production Section, Quality Control/QC, Quality Assurance, Researchers, both Staff, Supervisors, Research and Development Managers Food and Nonpan products, & RDQUO, said Paiman, who is also a former Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture UPY.   • UPY established cooperation with Rudn and TSU Russia in the field of education

    PGRI University Yogyakarta & nbsp; Signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with two universities, namely Rudn University and Tomsk State University (TSU) Russia. Paiman explained, the MoU with 2 PT was carried out in an effort to collect cooperation to collaborate on education, seminars, joint research, publications, and further study of UPY lecturers. The 2 PTs were chosen because the campus was advanced and could be invited to the S2 and S3 and S3 study cooperation and the International Conference.

  • Prepare FKIP UPY’s Superior Teacher Candidate Implementing the PDS Program

    In the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 currently requires various parties to continue to increase the capacity of each of the universities. In Indonesia there are various types of universities with each specifications of its advantages. All higher education institutions in Indonesia have one main goal of building superior Indonesian human resources. Superior resources can only be produced from the best education process carried out by superior teachers. Teachers who have advantages can only be produced through the best teacher education process in superior teaching teaching institutions (LPTK). Superior LPTK is LPTK that is able to build networks and synergy between learning in schools and lecture processes in class. Yogyakarta PGRI University (UPY) as one of the Teaching Personnel Educational Institutions (LPTK) in Yogyakarta also participated to prepare the best teacher candidates in Indonesia. One of the efforts made is through the Lecturer Assignment Program in Schools (PDS). In 2019 UPY became one part of PTN and PTS throughout Indonesia that received a lecturer assignment program grant at school.

    As the initial part of the implementation of this program UPY carries out the PDS program socialization activity which is attended by related agencies, partner schools from elementary, junior high, high school and vocational school levels. The purpose of this PDS socialization activity is to inform and equalize the perception between LPTK and partner schools about the implementation of this PDS program. In 2019 UPY was in scheme B, namely the implementation of PDS activities in schools and on campus. After the socialization activity was continued with a PDS lecturer workshop in schools with partner schools. The lecturers who meet the criteria for carrying out PDS activities at this school are Darsono, M.Pd, Tri Wahana, M.Pd, Rina Dyah Rahmawati, M.Pd, Deri Amggraini, M.Pd and Sisca Candraningsih, M.Sc. Schools involved in this PDS are SMA N 7 Yogyakarta, SMK N 1 Kasihan, SMP N 10 Yogyakarta, SD N Tamansari 2 Yogyakarta and SD Muhammadiyah Ambarbinangun. Furthermore, lecturers who have held PDS in schools in 2018 this year will carry out PDS in campus to implement the experience gained through the PDS in the lecture process in the campus. The lecturers who carry out PDS activities on campus are Dr. Sunarti, M.Pd, Dra. Nurwahyumiani, M.A, Dra. Suharni, M.Pd, Dra. M.M Endang Susetyowati, M.Pd, Dra. Kristina Warniasih, M.Pd and & Nbsp; Dr. Setyo Eko Atmojo, M.Pd.

    Vice Rector III UPY in the opening of the PDS program socialization conveyed the importance of a lecturer to know and have a real experience about the problem in learning activities at school and find solutions to overcome them, so that through this PDS activity will be able to increase the knowledge and insight of lecturers at FKIP UPY.
