Student Agency and Cooperation Institute of Yogyakarta PGRI University (LKK UPY) in collaboration with the Ministry of Education of BEM KM UPY and delegations from each Ormawa, as many as 32 students who are chaired by Sigi Priyanto incorporated in a use committee. The success of the event, the purpose of this event is to strengthen the relationship between students, provide knowledge through education workshops and increase student creativity.

This event was held at the Auditorium Unit 1 PGRI Yogyakarta University, Jl.PGRI I No. 177, Sonosewu, Yogyakarta. The implementation time is on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 08.00-13.15 WIB. The speaker at the workshop was Yustinus Nugroho S.T and Drs. Sugeng M. Subono from the DIY Communication and Information Agency and Education Office.

This event is divided into 3 main series, the first is an education workshop with the theme & ldquo; actualization of educational values ​​in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 & RDQUO; which was held in the first session at 09.35- 10.20 WIB and continued the 2nd session at 11.35 .- 11.20 WIB. To participate in the workshop activities, participants are required to pay Rp. 15,000 per participant and get various facilities such as snacks, lunch, and certificates.

The second series of events is the speaking competition at 10.35 – 12.20 WIB which was followed by representatives of each study program at PGRI University Yogyakarta. This speech aims to make students of the opinion as free as possible in issuing their opinions about education in Indonesia. This competition was won by brother Imam Wahyu Aji from the PBSI Study Program as Champion 1 and Selma Maharani from the IT Study Program as Champion 2.

The third series of events is the UPY Smart Competition which was held at 12.35 WIB until finished. This UPY Smart Competition is a competition that has never been held at UPY, this competition is the same as the Smart Indonesia Competition in general which aims to make students think more critically, then for this competition itself won by Mathematics Study Program and PLB. The end of the UPY Smart Competition is a marker of the end of the Workshop, Oration and UPY Smart Competition from the various series of events.

(Saturday, 05/04/2019) UKM KOMPEKALIS UPY carries out First Action for DIY level competition activities. The activity was named Kompegar Kompegar, an activity to welcome the National Book Day with the theme & LDQUO; Sakti Sheet, Plane Plane Dream & RDQUO;.

This Kompegarist has a series of competitions and is equipped with social services (open reading books). The existing competition is a non-fictional book review of students in DIY, speaking contest students throughout the UPY, and special cake decorating competitions for all members of the Kompekalist UKM. The competition took place in relay in the Auditorium of PGRI Yogyakarta University, while the social service, will be held in Temugiring Village, Gunung Kidul on Friday & RSQUO; at 17 May 2019. For the reviewer, the total number of registrants is 47 students in DIY, Speaking Contest as many as 14 students, and as many as 8 groups for the race to decorate cakes.

This Kompekalist Genegar activity took place very lively because of the participation of various parties. The review competition was attended by several outside campuses, such as UGM, UNY, UAD, UIN, Umby, Amikom, UPN, and STIE Hamfara. The book that is reviewed in this race is a book sponsored by Deepublish publishers. The sponsored book title is a book about leadership, innovation and learning technology, and marketing public relations . These books are very fitting for students. In commemoration of the 2019 National Education Day (Hardiknas), Yogyakarta PGRI University held a joint ceremony that was attended by all UPY lecturers and employees and students from PGRI 1 Poor Middle School on Thursday (02/02/ 05/2019) by taking place on the front page of the UPY Unit 1 Campus Auditorium. The ceremony device itself comes from the Student Regiment or Menwa Upty, while the ceremonial coach is Dr. Ir. Paiman, M.P. UPY Rector.

Hardiknas 2019 is the right moment to remind everyone of the importance of education. Not only formal education pathways such as in schools or tertiary institutions, but also non-formal and informal, all of which must complement each other to educate the lives of people in the nation and state. Of course the hope for all children to be able to criticize proper education.

Entering the fourth industrial revolution, the education system must prepare superior humans who are ready to face the changing times. The rapid development of technology, is predicted to affect human civilization in the future. Disructive phenomena will enter all fields, including education. Education must immediately evolve to answer the challenges of the era.

In connection with this, UPY continues to improve quality both in terms of HR and development to support a better learning process facility for the future. In addition, the increase was also seen from the accreditation of study programs whose results were increasing from before. Capacity building is characterized by the opening of new study programs, namely pharmacy and industrial engineering. While for industrial engineering starting this year, it has begun to open for registration. However, all of these improvements will have no meaning without being accompanied by character education. Because the character occupies the highest position for all ages, especially the digital age like today.
