Monday (6/24), a group of UPY History Education Study Program students conducted a historical visit to the 3rd Buddhist temples in Magelang. The three temples are Borobudur, Pawon and Mendut. Muhammad Iqbal Biresyada as the supervisor explained that this activity was in the context of the study of the Hindu-Buddhist History Course in the Archipelago.
Borobudur Temple
Ancient Mataram as one of the objects of his study, Iqbal said & ldquo; that there are 3 main aspects in understanding history. First of the past, the present and the future & rdquo;. Students are expected to have components that are comprehensive in the theoretical and field studies. No less important is the future aspect. Through a history of students, students can take wisdom, values to be developed in the future.
Mendut Temple
In addition, it also introduces the cultural roots of the Nusantara cultural to students both the architectural, arts and socio-cultural contexts that accompany it. Red coat, said Soekarno.
