Monday (10/21) BEM UPY who are members of the Yogyakarta Special Region Student Executive Board forum is a combination of each Student Executive Board, Student Executive Institute in the Yogyakarta region. As the highest alliance of the BEM DIY forum to raise funds to help people in Maluku who were exposed to the earthquake disaster, Wamena, who kept conflicts between residents, Sumatra and Kalimantan were affected by smoke.
The fundraising action carried out on Monday (10/21) was divided into several locations at each red light in accordance with the zoning of each campus. Like the Ust, Amayo, UAD, UCY, ITY, SSG, and UNU campuses at the red light of the Giwangan Terminal. While Akbidyo, UMY, ATK, Uwmy, Fill, Upy, UNJANI are located at Jokteng red light. While other campuses are Unriyo, UII, UJB, LPP, AKPRIND, UPN, UIN, at the Tugu red light. As a student, of course, has a social responsibility for the community in addition to guarding issues that do not side with the community and act as connecting assistance to the community in any case.
the implementation of fundraising starts at 16.00-18.30 WIB on each red light that has been determined with representatives of about 5 student members from each campus wearing their respective alma mater. Observed at each red light point running conducive and smoothly until 18:30 WIB. Precisely at Jokteng’s red light itself gets Rp. 2,523,000 from the raising.
From the results at several red light points will be collected into one and then submitted to the General Treasurer of the BEM DIY Forum. After being submitted to the General Treasurer the next plan from the BEM DIY forum will carry out the next fundraising action in different places or points. All the results of the assistance obtained will be sent immediately to the affected area of the humanity and natural disasters through a clear delivery mechanism and a reliable legal aid institution.
