UPY Rector Dr. Ir. Paiman M.P. Give a speech to students in the opening ceremony of ESQ activities at the Auditorium of PGRI Yogyakarta University
Yogyakarta PGRI University held a training emotional spiritual quotient (ESQ) and character education for new students. This training is one of a series of debriefing for new students, especially those who have entered semester 2 in an effort to build soft skills. The opening of the ESQ training took place at the UPY Auditorium (2/3) and was opened by UPY Rector Dr. Ir. Paiman M.P. This training is expected to build a strong character for new students who not only prioritize intellectuals, but also emotional and spiritual. According to the explanation of Deputy Dean III of the Faculty of Economics, alumni and cooperation, Lilik Siswanta, S.E., M.M. The ESQ training was divided into 3 batchs with a total of 1038 new students participating in the activity. Each batch carried out training for 2 days, Saturday-Sunday. The schedule distribution for Batch 1 on March 2-3, 2019 was attended by students from the Information Engineering Study Program, PAUD, PLB, History Education, PBI, PBSI, Agrotechnology, and Mathematics Education. Whereas batch 2 was held on March 9-10 2019 attended by students from the Accounting, Management and PPKN Study Program. Then for Batch 3 was held on March 16-17 2019 which was attended by students from the PGSD Study Program and BK. While the activity was carried out from 7.00 am & ndash; 16.30 afternoon WIB. ESQ is a mandatory activity that must be followed by all students because it is a condition for later Judicium.
UPY Rector Dr. Ir. Paiman M.P. In his remarks at the same time providing motivation to students and hoping students to be more enthusiastic would also be more brave to pursue Sukes and their dreams. According to him a student should be more successful than his teacher and even more. As a future leader in the future, students must have the courage to dream and aspire for a brilliant future like the theme in the implementation of ESQ training, which is towards neat and superior students.
