Tridharma Higher Education became one of the topics of discussion that was studied quite intensively on the visit of Hamzanwadi University on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 which took place in the Chancellor’s Court Room, PGRI University Yogyakarta (UPY). One of the Tridharama activities discussed on the occasion is student exchange or Student Exchange . The purpose of student exchange is to provide valuable experience to students in terms of learning, interacting with different cultures, and developing global understanding. In the context of the Tridharma of Higher Education, student exchange is one way of universities to fulfill their educational and teaching functions by presenting a broader and diverse learning experience for their students.
In supporting the realization of this program, the two universities agreed to collaborate through the MoU signed by the Rector of UPY, Dr. Ir. Paiman, M.P., and Chancellor of Hamzanwadi University, Dr. Ir. Hj. Sitti Rohmi Djalilah, M.Pd, who was represented by Dr. Abdullah Muzakar, M.Sc, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. In addition, a number of officials and representatives from the two universities also attended the signing ceremony.
Hamzanwadi University sent as many as 10 students to learn and add to their experience in Yogyakarta called the Student City, namely at the University of PGRI Yogyakarta. The ten students from the Hamzanwadi University consisted of 5 (five) students who would study in the Mathematics Education Study Program with the Chairperson of the Study Program Mr. Padrul Jana, S.Pd., M.Sc namely Khairun Nisak Sadin, Dandi Hermansyah, DN. Khairina Putri, Rulia, and Anjania Rahmani. Whereas 5 (five) students will study in the study program with the Chairperson of the Study Program Mrs. Novianti Retno Utami, M.Pd namely M. Zainuk Hasbi, Linda Mariani, Mahardika Amini, Miftahur Rizqo, and Miftahul Hidayati Syam.
On this occasion, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Hamzanwadi University with the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education UPY conducted cooperation in the form of Memorandum of Agreement (MoA). Cooperation will be carried out in various fields, such as education, research, community service, publications, management of scientific journals, student mobilization, and lecturer mobilization. This includes various forms of cooperation, such as public lectures, lecturer exchanges, joint research, and management of scientific journals.
The expectations of cooperation that have been established are expected to create useful synergy and mutual support in achieving the vision and mission of higher education and advancing the science and quality of education. In addition, providing a better experience to lecturers and students from both universities. The event then ended with the submission of 10 students from Hamzanwadi University who would take part in the Study Program in UPY in the field of PG-PAUD and Mathematics Education.
