Along with commemorating the Youth Oath Day to & Ndash; 93 years, HMP History of UPY History held a Podcast Oath of Youth with the theme & LDQUO; The role of youth in animating the spirit of the Youth Oath & RDQUO;. The series of events took place on Thursday 28 October 2021 which began at 13.00 WIB & Ndash; Completed which took place in the 5th floor studio of the Saintek Building and broadcast via Live Streaming YouTube upyTV and Live Instagram at @hmps_upy.
The activity invited Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Biresyada M.Pd (UPY History Education Study Program) as a speaker or resource. This podcast material discusses the meaning of the youth oath, the fading of the value of nationalism among young people because of the influence of globalization and western culture, discussing the spirit of nationalism among students today because it has been influenced by Western culture.
& ldquo; as the successor of the nation and also the whole community must develop and also teach the culture that exists in Indonesia, especially to young Indonesian people who will become the successor to the nation’s struggle Iqbal.
he also explained how the role of young people in addressing the influence of Western cultures that began to enter Indonesia, especially in the digital era with increasingly sophisticated technological advances today. & ldquo; we can take advantage of technological advances in this digital era by creating content related to culture in Indonesia, rather than lying down and silence does not produce better lying but productive, which can be by making an educational work, information or anything related to Indonesian culture. & rdquo; explained Iqbal.
dr. Muhammad Iqbal Barsyada advised the successors of the nation, & ldquo; however we as the next generation of the nation must have a very high sense of nationalism so that we are not easily influenced by the flow of globalization and we as young people of the nation must always be proud of the culture that we already have. & Rdquo ; (PEB)
