This activity is as a field lecture activity to apply students’ understanding in socializing directly to the community, especially in the Dayak Hindu Buddhist Bumi Segandu Indramayu.

The philosophical meaning is that the mother (female) is the source of life, because from the womb we are all born. That is why respecting women, which are reflected in their daily teachings and lives.
The Dayak Bumi Segandu tribe is a group of local communities that trust a joint teaching and settled in Crimun Village, Losarang District, Indramayu Regency, West Java. This belief group member is claimed to be thousands of thousands whose members come from various regions, such as Subang, Cirebon, to East Java. They are purely formed as a group of trust -based beliefs.
This community group does not have a legal identity such as the Identity Card (KTP). They do not have one religion as the religion recognized by the state. But they still feel part of the Indonesian state. It’s just that they have another perspective in looking at the way of life. For this group, KTP is something troublesome. They believe that they are brought everywhere they are real identification.

Origin
This community group shows its existence since the late 90s to the wider community. They build a community by holding fast to spirituality as the basis for the formation of their teachings. They call their trust as Javanese religion, they re-explore the beliefs and values of the spirituality of Javanese people in the past. They think that the great religions that exist today, including religions recognized by the Indonesian government, have been contaminated with the interests of individuals who are loaded with greed. This is what causes this belief group to re-explore the cultural values of Javanese society and rebuild communal values.
The group is analogous to a group of people elected because not everyone can carry out the rules as required by the community. In addition, the meaning & ldquo; Hindu Buddha & RDQUO; In understanding this community is interpreted as a body and soul. Those who are incorporated are assumed as humans who have just been born by their mother in a naked state. Those who have become Bodhisatvva as a form of uniting themselves with macrocosm, will take off the style of life of the modern era that is rife today. Members of this community group will be naked wearing only black and white shorts. The color is a symbol of life in pairs. In addition, they will also wear accessories made of wood and bamboo as a form of their closeness to nature. Everywhere members of this community group go, they will always wear clothes and accessories. Ways of dressing this then society & ldquo; modern & rdquo; often see them as a group of crazy people.
The establishment of the community itself is free from government interference. Was a Ta Mad who began the formation of this community by establishing a hermitage called Padepokan Nyi Ratu Kembar in Karimun Village, Losarang District, Indramayu Regency, West Java. The land where the hermitage was built itself was a legacy from Ta Mad’s in -laws. Since its contemplation has succeeded in giving birth to a flow of new beliefs, his followers have become increasingly more and the formation of the Dayak Hindu Buddhist Bumu Segandu Indramayu community group.
Values and Teachings
Values and Teachings in the Dayak Hindu Buddhist Earth Segandu Indramayu formed in the 1970s and taught by Ta Mad or Eran Takmad Diningrat Gusti Alam. Ta Mad is the founder of this trust community because of the boredom that he experienced against government regulations. Ta mad does a lot of reflection and self -introspection of various problems that occur around it. Then, he believes that returning to nature (back to nature) is the best teaching for humans. Getting closer to nature is believed to be the core of human life.
The manifestation of the teachings back to nature is reflected in the values they uphold everyday. They greatly glorify natural values such as respecting children and children. For them, women have a very high dignity and degree, because of them are born new individuals. This certainly cannot be done by men, anywhere and by anyone. Likewise with children, they always consider all the words and actions of children who look innocent. The men of this belief group rest to serve their women, including their mothers, wives and daughters. No wonder then many of them make a living outside the house while taking care of the household such as cooking, cleaning the house, and other housework.

The Dayak Hindu Buddhist Earth Segandu Indramayu group performed a ritual named & ldquo; kum-kum & rdquo; Or in Indonesian it is called a marinade. This ritual they perform to practice patience. Kum-kum themselves they do for four months in one year precisely every 23:00. Before Kum-kum, they usually do the songs first. After that, they will walk into a small river near their village to soak themselves until the morning arrives. During soaking, they are not allowed to wear top clothes. In addition, they must be able to withstand the cold night air and river water along with small fish bites that live in the river. It is indeed not easy to do; It is necessary to be a habit to remember the main purpose of this ritual is to practice patience.
After the kum-kum ritual is finished, they do not necessarily go home in the morning. They must perform further rituals in the form of mepe or sunbathing. They will sunbathe in the morning until their pants are dry again. The purpose of this ritual is to bring humans closer to the natural world. After completing the series of rituals, they will feel that they are new people back. Furthermore, the remaining eight months can be used to make a living in order to meet the needs of the lives of children and their wives. If their livelihoods are excessive, they will give it to the community in need. After that, they will take advantage of the next four months for rituals and get closer to nature. The ritual cycle they have been working on regularly for years.
Other rituals performed by this group of beliefs also included many women’s groups. Located in the Nyi Ratu twin pavilion, every Friday night they gather together. Some men are shirtless and wear black and white shorts. They sat around the small pool in the pavilion. While women, sit down outside the pavilion. At first, they will sing the Song of Alas Turi and Praise of Nature together. The reading was thought in Javanese Cirebon and was composed directly by the founder of this community, Takmad Diningrat.
The results of this field lecture activity are expected to be able to take the positive aspects that exist in the Dayak Hindu-Buddhist Earth Segandu Indramayu, West Java. This field lecture can also be used as a reference that in Indonesia consisting of several islands, ethnicity, races, groups and religions, in the future it can be used to increase understanding of the need to live in harmony and peace between the nation’s children even though different backgrounds and groups.
