  • UPY agreed to cooperate with Tarlac Agricultural University, the Philippines

    Partnership Development Meeting and signing of the MoU with Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), the MoU was held at Tau Campus, Camiling, Tarlac, Philippines.   • UPY graduation, success is directly proportional to the effort

    Saturday 29 September 2018, PGRI University Yogyakarta (UPY) held a graduation ceremony for graduate and postgraduate graduation for the 2018/2019 school year at the local campus. The UPY graduation activity was attended by 6 graduates of the Master of Education Program (S2) and 416 graduates of the Strata One (S1) program.

    Rector of UPY, Dr. Ir Paiman MP expressed his pride and congratulate the graduates. “We, UPY leaders are also proud and congratulate the graduates/graduates, who from now on officially have successfully completed a formal education process complete with all forms of evaluation in it.     Meanwhile, graduates/graduates of the S2 program that won the highest and fastest achievements were Elisabeth Susi Setiarini, MPd with an achievement index of 3.98.     Comparative study activities are divided into several groups.   • UPY students again won international achievements at the 2018 Classic International Malaysia Open Taekwondo Championship

    Yogyakarta PGRI University again won a preteration on the international arena, this time, the UPY Taekwondo Team participated in the championship Classic International Malaysia Open Taekwondo Championship 2018 at the Malawati Shay Alam Malaysia Stadium. The championship took place for two days, 24 to 26 August 2018, which was followed by 26 countries in Asia.

    UPY delegation consists of 3 athletes; FX. Yona Venno Reza, Husnia Nur Azizah, Dian Sandra Wulan and as official, Ryan Tan Sakanana Pribadi. Finally their hard work produced results by winning 2 medals, namely:

  • Upy returned to send 8 FKIP students to the Philippines and Thailand

    Being a professional teacher requires the ability and skill in order to transmit the knowledge gained from the university to students both domestically and. Therefore, the University of PGRI Yogyakarta (UPY) prepares the graduates of the prospective teacher by equipping the abilities and skills needed to become professional teachers in their fields, one of which is by sending students to teach practice abroad. Since 2016, UPY has sent 23 teacher teacher to hone their abilities in schools in the Philippines and Thailand through the Pre-Service Student Teacher Exchange in Southeast Asia or disbursed Seateacher. The program, led by SEAMEO (Southeast Asia Ministry of Education), aims to provide opportunities for students who have more ability to practice teaching and sharpening English skills.

    In this July, UPY Rector, Dr. Ir. Paiman, M.P again released 8 students to the Philippines and Thailand. The Chancellor advised the students to maintain the good name of Indonesian institutions and nations in the ASEAN scene. These students are planned to be sent to 5 universities, 3 universities in the Philippines (Pangasinan State University, Tarlac Agricultural University and Mindoro State College of Agriculture and Technology) and 2 universities in Thailand (Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University and Pibulsongkram Rajabram Rajabhat University). The 8 students are students from 3 FKIP Study Programs at UPY (Mathematics Education, Elementary School Teacher Education and English Language Education). It is planned that the eight students will depart at the beginning of August 2018.

  • Upy Send 3 Taekwondo Athletes to Malaysia

In addition, he added that this agenda was a form of UPY’s brand image improvement as a university that was able to take part in the ASEAN arena.

  • 240 UPY students graduated

    PGRI University Yogyakarta (UPY) graduated 240 students. Consists of 29 Master of Education (S2) and 211 Students Strata One (S1). In graduation S1, there are three people who won the title of graduation, 15 people satisfying, 133 people are very satisfying, and 60 cumlaude. While the graduation of S2 there were four people who won a satisfactory title, 19 people were very satisfying, and six cumlaude.

    Wisudawan S1 winner of the highest achievement of Dedeh Hidayat SP (Agrotechnology) with a GPA of 3.95. The fastest graduate of Nur Trisnawati SM (Management) is 3.7 years old study. The youngest graduate of Iis Agustini SAK (Accounting) aged 20 years. The oldest graduate of Luciana Sutarti Skom (Informatics Engineering) aged 50 years. The fastest graduate of Sati Antini MPd Long Study 1.7 years. The youngest graduate of Dwi Trisnawati MPd is 25 years old and the oldest graduate of Vincent Andi Andono MPd aged 57 years.
