    Publication and strengthening of grants was a topic of discussion that was studied quite intensively during a visit to Janabadra University on Tuesday, 10 October 2023, which took place in the Rectorate Meeting Room of Universitas PGRI Yogyakarta (UPY). Apart from that, in this event, a Memorndum of Understanding (MoU) was also signed between Universitas PGRI Yogyakarta (UPY) and Janabadra University (UJB). The MoU was signed directly by UPY Chancellor Dr. Ir. Paiman, MP and UJB Chancellor Dr. Risdiyanto, ST, MT

    This signing event was also attended by the leadership. Tresno Sumbodo, M.Si. (Head of UPT Public Relations), Dr. Mohamad Najmudin, MM (Dean of FEB), Dra. Kartinah, M.Sc. (Head of FEB Management Study Program), Della Nanda Luthfiana, SM, MBA (FEB Management Lecturer) and UJB Public Relations Staff.

    Meanwhile, from UPY, including Herdi Handoko (Rector’s Secretary), Dr. Victor Novianto.M. Hum (Head of KUI), Pebri Prihatmoko M.Eng (Secretary of KUI), Dr. Sigit Handoko (Public Relations and Protocol), Dra. Yati Suhartini, MA (Dean of the Faculty of Business), Latifah Putranti, SE, M.Sc. (Head of Management Study Program), Dra. Tri Siwi Nugrahani, SE, M.Sc. (PPMF), Pradita Nindya Aryandha, SE, MBA (PPMS Management).

    At the meeting, cooperation in the Tri Dharma of Higher Education which included Teaching, Research and Community Service was also discussed. In the field of research, collaboration can take the form of collaboration both in terms of research topics and the positions of research leaders and research members. In the field of service, this activity will be carried out in the form of joint service implementation between UPY and UJB. This memorandum of understanding is valid for five years and can be extended based on mutual agreement.

    Apart from that, the Chancellor of UPY, Dr. Ir. Paiman, MP, also shared strategic steps to speed up permits for the establishment of new study programs, including preparation of human resources (lecturers) and necessary files, as well as personal contact with LLDIKTI officials. He explained that by 2023, UPY will have 24 study programs.

    On this occasion, a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was also signed between the Faculty of Business, PGRI Yogyakarta University and the Faculty of Economics and Business, Janabadra University. This MoA was signed by the Dean of the UPY Business Faculty, Dra. Yati Suhartini, MA, and Dean of the UJB Faculty of Business Economics, Dr. Drs. Mohamad Najmudin, MM

    In this agreement, both parties agreed to work together including joint student activities in the form of the Tridharma of Higher Education, collaborating in writing scientific papers, seminars and public lectures. In implementing this collaboration in the form of Tridharma, each party agrees to issue an activity certificate. This joint agreement will later be evaluated every one meter. In the future, the complete implementation mechanism for this cooperation will be outlined in the form of a work reference framework created by both parties.

    UPY KIPK Students Achieve Achievements in the 2023 DIY BECC Competition

    The Yogyakartra Special Region Police (POLDA DIY) in collaboration with the DIY State University (UNY) held  the Bhayangkara Entrepreneurship Concept Competition  (BECC) to increase the marketing of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY).

    It is hoped that it will have a positive impact on increasing the productivity and effectiveness of MSMEs in DIY through innovation and business marketing strategies created by students. As a vital element in this process, the role of students in their capacity as agents of change is expected to play an active role in developing innovative solutions that contribute to local economic growth and DIY special branding and impact on Community Security and Order (KAMTIBMAS).

    Participants in this activity were approximately 230 groups from various well-known universities in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. One of them is the 2022 Indonesian Smart College Card (KIPK) student group at PGRI Yogyakarta University. They are Feri Hartanto (Agrotechnology) as Chair of the group, with members Yeni Widiyawati (PPKn), Salmafita Dana Hamdana (PBSI), Fadhil Ali Abdulloh (Management), and Mulyana Fund (BK). They previously joined the Independent Entrepreneurship (WMK) activity organized by Yogyakarta State University.

    In the course of participating in the WMK program, this team had to take part in the Bhayangkara Entrepreneurship Concept Competition (BECC) DIY 2023. Mas Feri and his friends were still in semester 3 and with minimal capital, despite all their limitations, they were finally able to send a business concept proposal. which they developed and were guided by their WMK Field Supervisor, namely Mr. Juang Kurniawan, one of the lecturers in the English Language Education Study Program at PGRI Yogyakarta University (UPY).

    At the end of September the announcement of the successful participants for this activity was announced, taking 20 business concepts that were considered out of the box . They all entered as semifinalists including the team from UPY led by Mas Feri. On 1 & 2 October 2023, all teams that advanced to the semifinals received training from BANK BRI to prepare for the presentation in the next step.

    The semifinals lasted for 2 days, namely on 3 and 4 October 2023. Which then gave rise to 9 finalists who will compete on concepts on 5 October 2023. With the love of Allah, from the start Mas Feri’s team was not very confident in this activity and even managed to reach the semifinals. final. With all the efforts made, the presentation given by Mas Fadhil and Mas Dana in the final round went smoothly, lots of input, suggestions, praise and direction were given by the jury including Mas Piyu “Padi”, this matter was even highlighted on Mas Piyu’s Instagram Personal Story “Paddy”. This is a matter of pride for the Walang Goreng Squad (WAGS) Team led by Feri.

    The long-awaited announcement finally happened, and the UPY KIPK (WMK) Team succeeded in occupying position 4 out of 9 finalists above well-known universities in DIY such as UGM, UAD, Atmajaya and others. This is proof that anyone has the opportunity and ability, the rest is will.

  • Signing of the MoU and Student Admission of Student Exchange University Hamzanwadi

    Tridharma Higher Education became one of the topics of discussion that was studied quite intensively on the visit of Hamzanwadi University on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 which took place in the Chancellor’s Court Room, PGRI University Yogyakarta (UPY). One of the Tridharama activities discussed on the occasion is student exchange or Student Exchange . The purpose of student exchange is to provide valuable experience to students in terms of learning, interacting with different cultures, and developing global understanding. In the context of the Tridharma of Higher Education, student exchange is one way of universities to fulfill their educational and teaching functions by presenting a broader and diverse learning experience for their students.

    In supporting the realization of this program, the two universities agreed to collaborate through the MoU signed by the Rector of UPY, Dr. Ir. Paiman, M.P., and Chancellor of Hamzanwadi University, Dr. Ir. Hj. Sitti Rohmi Djalilah, M.Pd, who was represented by Dr. Abdullah Muzakar, M.Sc, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.     Hamzanwadi University sent as many as 10 students to learn and add to their experience in Yogyakarta called the Student City, namely at the University of PGRI Yogyakarta.     Selain itu kedua Fakultas juga sepakat dalam kerjasama untuk saling meningkatkan jurnal Fakultas. Dimana mahasiswa dan dosen prodi Fakultas Bisnis UPY di persilahkan untuk submid ke jurnal Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Borobudur dan sebaliknya dosen dan mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Borobudur di persilahkan untuk mengirim ke jurnal Fakultas Bisnis UPY. Hal ini nantinya di harapkan dapat meningkatakan jumlah dan sitasi jurnal kedua Fakultas sehingga dapat mengangkat peringkat jurnal kedua belah pihak.

    Di samping itu UPY juga memberikan langkah langkah strategis untuk meningkatkan jumlah jurnal terideks Scopus. Rektor UPY Dr. Ir. Paiman, M.P menjelaskan bahwa UPY membuat program Akselerasi Jurnal Bereputasi (AJIB) untuk meningkatkan jumlah jurnal. Program ini memberikan stimulasi bagi para dosen untuk menulis jurnal terindek scopus Q1 sampai Q4. Besaran dana stimulasi berkisar antara 12,5 juta sampai 30 juta. UPY juga menawarkan boot camp selama  3 hari 2 malam untuk penulisan jurnal Internasional terindek Scopus bagi dosen Universitas Borobudur. Pada ahir sesi pihak Universitas Borobudur juga menawarkan kepada dosen dosen UPY untuk kuliah S3 di Universitas Borobudur. Acara di tutup dengan foto bersama antara Rektor UPY dengan Wakir Rektor Universitas Borobudur beserta jajaran pimpinan kedua Universitas.

  • Upy Cup IV was held with full enthusiasm

    UKM UPY Silat Pencak Silat Holds the Upy Cup IV event on August 21-24, 2023 at the Auditorium Building, PGRI University in Yogyakarta, consisting of fighters between pesilat, single art, double art, and art of martial arts teams.

    The participants who participated in this event consisted of high school/vocational high school students and students from all over Indonesia who were martial arts athletes selected from their respective schools or universities.

    The event is an annual routine activity from UPY Pencak Silat UKM which has been repeatedly carried out in a row & ndash; participate.

    Meanwhile the course of the event and the match took place smoothly, conducive, safe and efficient, while for the match itself it took place in a sportsmanship and competitive manner.
